Trump Pardoned the ‘QAnon Shaman’ — Now He’s Calling Trump a ‘Fraud’

The White House's Epstein debacle has lost another diehard Trump supporter.

The “QAnon Shaman” has apparently had enough of Donald Trump.

Jacob Chansley, the horned, shirtless mascot of the January 6 insurrection, became one of the most recognizable faces of the Capitol riot. Like many others who believed storming Congress might somehow stop Joe Biden from becoming president, Chansley ended up in legal trouble, pleading guilty to obstructing an official proceeding. And, just like his fellow Capitol tourists-turned-felons, he was pardoned the moment Trump strutted back into the White House on January 20 for his second term.

But just months after receiving that pardon, Chansley went from MAGA poster boy to MAGA heretic, launching an expletive-laced tirade against Trump on social media. The core of his outrage? Trump’s shady connections to convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

“Oh yeah & F--- Israel! And F--- Donald Trump!” Chansley wrote on X, adding in another post, “What do you think Epstein & Israel have on Trump?”

Chansley’s Israel reference in regards to Epstein is likely tied to conspiracy theories pushed by MAGA influencers that claim Epstein was working as an asset for the Israeli intelligence agency, Mossad.

“It’s extremely obvious to anyone who watches that this guy had direct connections to a foreign government,” Tucker Carlson said at a recent Turning Point USA conference. “Now, no one’s allowed to say that foreign government is Israel.”

The former Fox News anchor added, “Were you working on behalf of Mossad? Were you running a blackmail operation on behalf of foreign government?”

As of this writing, it appears Chansley has deleted his entire X account.

On January 6, 2021, Chansley took photos with Capitol police and posed like a Viking tourist in the Senate chamber. He was sentenced in November 2021 to 41 months in prison, plus a $2,000 restitution fee, after pleading guilty. At sentencing, he offered a rare display of humility: “I have no excuse. No excuses whatsoever,” he told the court. “My behavior is indefensible.”

Yet the moment Trump handed him a pardon, the tone changed entirely. “THANK YOU PRESIDENT TRUMP!!! J6ers are getting released & JUSTICE HAS COME … EVERYTHING done in the dark WILL come to light!” he raved on social media, according to Law and Crime.

Now, though, the light seems to be too bright for Chansley to stomach. A regular promoter of conspiracy theories, he’s just the latest MAGA die-hard to sour on Trump as Epstein-related skeletons keep rattling inside the Mar-a-Lago closet.

With the Justice Department facing mounting pressure to deliver on Trump’s repeated promises of “transparency” regarding Epstein, a surprising list of former Trump loyalists — Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Tucker Carlson, and Ben Shapiro, among them — have started turning on their guy. Even the most die-hard cults have their limits, apparently.
