The Nutcase Who Started the ‘Pizza Gate’ Conspiracy Theory Speaks at Charlie Kirk’s Memorial Service
It's a good reminder of the vile figures Kirk and MAGA allowed into their orbit.
Arizona hosted a massive memorial service on Sunday for Charlie Kirk, the right-wing activist whose death has become a rallying point for Trump’s allies.
Predictably, the event drew a lineup of MAGA figures, including members of the Trump administration. Among them was Jack Posobiec — a man often described as one of the most toxic voices in the movement.
Posobiec is best known for spreading the completely fabricated “Pizzagate” conspiracy theory, which smeared Hillary Clinton associates with the outrageous claim that they were running a child sex-trafficking ring out of a D.C. pizza parlor. Just days after Trump’s 2016 election win, Posobiec even livestreamed himself wandering into the restaurant to “investigate.” Police promptly escorted him out after he began filming a children’s birthday party.
